In the Making follows my daughter, Luci.

The project began when I bought my first camera while I was pregnant with her. What started as a way of preserving moments gradually developed into a photographic collaboration.

​

As Luci grew older, makeup, style, and self-staging became an important part of her creative expression. In adolesence, photography became a place where we could continue to meet during a period when the distance between us was growing.

​

The project follows two parallel processes: Luci's development of a visual language, and my own development as a photographer.
